1. Requirements for transportation of a body to Kenya:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Proof that the deceased person was a Kenyan e.g. Original Passport, Birth Certificate, Kenyan ID.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Mexico locally issued burial and\/or transit permit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Certified copy of the Death Certificate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. A letter from the local health authority certifying that the deceased did not die of contagious disease.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. A metal hermetically sealable casket is recommended.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. A letter from the Director of funeral home stating how the body was embalmed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. A prepaid, self-addressed return envelope through DHL or FedEx with delivery confirmation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    2. Requirements for taking ashes to Kenya:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Certified copy of the Death Certificate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. \u00a0Certificate from the crematorium<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Certificate issued by the funeral director confirming that the contents are nothing but the remains and is not mixed with anything else.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Proof that the deceased person was a Kenyan e.g. Original Passport, Birth Certificate, Kenyan ID.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. A prepaid, self-addressed return envelope through DHL or FedEx with delivery confirmation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      On receipt of the above documents, the Embassy will issue a letter of no objection for the remains\/ashes to be transported to Kenya. No fee is charged for the service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
