The certificate is issued to Kenya citizens wishing to have their marriages, either to Kenyans or Foreigners performed abroad.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The application MUST contain 2 SETS of requirements 1 – 5: <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n
  1. Duly filled application form (download link below)<\/li>
  2. Applicants certified copy of Valid Kenyan Passport (Biodata page only – certified by Notary Public)<\/li>
  3. Applicant\u2019s certified copy of Birth Certificate (certified by Notary Public)<\/li>
  4. Fianc\u00e9e\u2019s certified passport copy (certified by Notary Public)<\/li>
  5. Copy of Divorce Decree Absolute<\/strong> (If married before and divorced) or if widowed – the late spouse\u2019s Death Certificate<\/strong> (certified by a notary public). These must be in English & if not, a translation provided. Sworn affidavit if the Divorce Decree or Death Certificate is more than two (2) years.<\/strong><\/li>
  6. 2(Two)<\/strong> Passport size pictures of each (White background)<\/li>
  7. An application letter with clearly indicated in full – the telephone number, email address, residential address and\/or postal address for any correspondences from the Mission. Note that it shall be your responsibility to immediately notify us in writing via immigration@kenyaembassydc.org<\/a> <\/strong>of any changes to their residential \/ postal address to avoid inconveniences in delivery of services.<\/li>
  8. Money order\/cashier\u2019s check for $50.00 payable to Embassy of The Republic of Kenya<\/strong>.<\/li>
  9. Self-addressed certified stamped envelope with enough postage-FedEx, Express mail, Certified Mail, Priority Mail with delivery confirmation. (NB: Metered stamps and Regular mail are not acceptable).<\/li>
  10. Applications are forwarded to Nairobi, Kenya for processing. Processing period is between Eight (8) to Twelve (12) weeks.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
